Job Title: Technical Bid Writer
Reports Directly To: Operations Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Technical Bid Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the moving industry and a strong background in writing compelling and competitive bids. The Technical Bid Writer will be responsible for creating persuasive proposals that effectively communicate our services and capabilities, aiming to secure new business opportunities.
Job Responsibilities:
Bid Preparation:
- Research and identify potential bid opportunities in the moving industry.
- Analyze tender documents and requirements to ensure a comprehensive understanding of client needs.
- Develop clear, concise, and compelling bid proposals that highlight our company's strengths and value propositions.
Content Development:
- Write, edit, and proofread bid responses, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
- Tailor each bid proposal to meet the specific requirements and preferences of the client.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to gather necessary information and insights.
Project Management:
- Manage the end-to-end bid process, including timelines, milestones, and deadlines.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all necessary components of the bid are completed on time.
- Maintain a bid library with updated information and templates for future use.
Quality Assurance:
- Review and ensure the quality and consistency of all bid documents.
- Conduct final checks to ensure compliance with client requirements and submission guidelines.
- Incorporate feedback and lessons learned from previous bids to improve future submissions.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with clients to clarify requirements and address any questions or concerns.
- Participate in post-bid reviews and debriefings to understand outcomes and improve future bids.
Market and Competitor Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Analyze competitor bids to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide insights and recommendations to enhance our bid strategies and positioning.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and/or bid management software.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bid writing, preferably in the moving or logistics industry.
