Job Title: Trucking Dispatch Manager
Reports Directly To: Operations Manager

Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Trucking Dispatch Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in dispatch operations within the moving and/or Trucking industry. This role involves overseeing the dispatching of our different fleets, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery, and managing the day-to-day logistics of our trucking operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Dispatch Operations:
- Coordinate and oversee the dispatching of trucks and drivers for General freight, brokering, residential and HHG commercial moves.
- Finding and dispatching drivers and trucks
- Hiring and HR
- Develop efficient routing and scheduling plans to maximize resource utilization.
- Monitor and track the progress of moves, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
Driver Management:
- Supervise and support a team of drivers, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular meetings and training sessions to keep drivers informed and motivated.
- Address and resolve any issues or concerns that drivers may have.
Customer Coordination:
- Communicate with customers to confirm move details, address concerns, and provide updates.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the moving process.
Fleet Management:
- Oversee the maintenance and inspection of trucks and equipment to ensure safety and reliability.
- Manage vehicle logs and maintenance records, scheduling regular service and repairs as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and company standards.
Logistics and Routing:
- Utilize dispatch software and tools to plan and optimize routes.
- Adjust schedules and routes as necessary to accommodate changes and unforeseen circumstances.
- Monitor traffic and weather conditions to mitigate delays and disruptions.
Administrative Duties:
- Prepare and maintain accurate dispatch logs, reports, and documentation.
- Monitor and control dispatch-related expenses to stay within budget.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication.

Technology and Process Improvement:
- Implement and leverage dispatch and logistics software to enhance efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in dispatch operations.
- Using DAT, Amazon and numerous other booking technologies.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of dispatching principles, DOT regulations, and transportation logistics.

- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and/or dispatch software.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in dispatch management, preferably in the moving or trucking industry.
